Nowhere To Turn by Lynette Eason is a great suspense mystery. It grabs you from page one and never let’s you go.Dani Harding and her son Simon are in an abusive relationship and Dani’s not sure she’s strong enough to escape with her son. On the day that she plans to leave, her husband is killed at a FBI conference. But Dani soon realizes that her problem has not been solved with his death. Her brother-in-law, Stuart, is as sick an individual as her husband was. And he wants Dani to be his now and begins stalking her. Then there’s an attempt on her life and Dani doesn’t know if it came from Stuart or somewhere else. Her life is out of control and she fears for herself and her son.
She hires Operation Refuge to help her and her son to stay safe. Adam Buchanan is in charge of the case and he will do everything in his power to make this happen. But no one is sure where all the threats are coming from. No one knows how many people are after Dani and why she’s in danger. Will Adam be able to figure all of these things out in time to save Dani and her son, or will he be too late?
This book is full of action and suspense from the very first page until the end of the book. The author sure knows how to write in a way to keep the suspense building to an explosive conclusion. There are so many twists and turns that at times I felt like I was riding a roller coaster. Even when you think things are safe for Dani and Simon, think again.
The writing style flows smoothly and the book is an easy read. The characters are well developed, well rounded and three dimensional. They are people you can care about and worry about and cheer for. Well, except for the bad guys, of which there is a large supply. These people you can really dislike and want to see them get what they deserve.
I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a well crafted suspense. It is a clean book and I think that made me enjoy it even more. I have read other books by Lynette Eason and have enjoyed them all. This book is no exception.
I received a free copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for a honest review. I would like to thank NetGalley and Revell Publishers for the opportunity to read this great book.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this Eason book. However, I did have to double check the copyright date with a smirk as even in books the black person dies (is dispensable) within 15 minutes of the movie. Janessa came and quickly died. After my exasperated sign at the demise of Janessa, I read the rest of the book and saw how sibling rivalry destroys families, how a woman overcame spousal abuse, how practical jokes are not funny, how law enforcement can be corrupt, how the love of money destroys, how parental favoritism is not good, how inept private protection agencies can be, how we devalue deaf people, how obsessive desires can control your life, and how left to our own devices, we make a lot of mistakes. It was interesting seeing how Eason tied the different subplots into one unique storyline.
Lynette Eason knows how to tell a good mystery in her books. This latest one is intense and some times a nail biter. Once you read one of Lynette Eason's books you will want to read more.
Dani Harding is a wife who is abused by her husband, who happens to be a FBI agent. So, if she reports any incidents of abuse hey just get tossed. She finally plans her escape but on the same day she does so, her husband is killed.
She thinks all is well. Not quite, her brother-in-law is stalking her, someone is trying to kill her, and so much more.
She is also trying to keep her son, Simon, safe who happens to be deaf but a very mart young man.
Then Dani is hooked up with Operation Rescue and running begins for Dani and her son.
Dani turns to God and repeatedly asks for help keeping her son safe. She discovers od is there for Simon and her
I highly recommend this book
Nowhere to Turn is the second book in the Hidden Identity series. The story follows Dani Harding who is running for her life. In steps Adam for book one of Hidden Identity series. He immediately feels a connection with her and sets out to keep her and her son safe.
What I loved about this book was the suspense. It seemed to be constantly there and kept me changing the pages. I also loved the romance that slowly built between Dani and Adam. They seemed like the perfect mix of temperament. Add to it a boy who desperately needs to see two people love the right way and it tugged my heart strings.
If you haven't read the Hidden Identity series pick up this book. (If you like to read in order, make sure to pick up book one as well.)
Lynette Eason did not disappointment in book two of the Hidden Identify series. She takes the some of the same characters and extended the scenery only slightly but somehow manage to still give a fresh story. In this book Dani, the MC is being abusive, stalked, and hunted but somehow managed to keep her faith. I must admit while reading the first chapter I became distraught when the theme of Domestic Violence began to take center stage. Stories of violence to women and children never sit well with me, but the author tells it in an empowering way. I did not like how Dani felt so helpless in the beginning and how Adam how to continue to remind her that it was going to be okay. Given the MC’s dependence on a man in the beginning of the book, that self-doubt was a pain point for me as a reader. The bad guy(s) in the book were well written and very well disguised. This story has so many twists you don’t not see the plot ending until right at the end of the book. Great job their Eason. I did like how Adam received a bit of redemption from his mistakes in this story and from book 1 No One to Trust. While I felt he cared for Dani and Simon (son), his search for atonement was what made him my favorite character. There is a little bit of cheesy romance at the end, but in a story where there is gun fights and car chases I think the love aspect fits well. Overall this was a great read and I enjoyed this story very much.
