Realizing this was an adaptation of James Patterson's novels, I bought this series for my classroom library hoping that it would encourage some of my hesitant readers to open up a little bit to gradually reading more. I have various novels, manga, graphic novels, and books in-between for them to read---and this series is the most popular by far. My students get frustrated when they reach the last book and realize that they have to wait for the next to come out. Glad they like it!

Purchased this book to replace one that was stolen from my daughter. She has the whole series and re reads them once she gets a new one. I’ve personally never read the series but apparently the kids are into it
Great gift for graphic novel lovers
I absolutely loved the colored pages in this volume! It was different from the others but then again I think all the other previous volumes have colored pages in them too. It been about four years since I first read these in my high school. That even had the novels that kept up with the manga. I loved the books and when Fang and Max finally kissed and she said she LOVED HIM!!! OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait to read the novel where the kids have just flown off from Dr. Martinez's house. James Patterson you have written an managing series that I actually like that it's a YA series!
As in the theme of the rest of the Maximum Ride manga, the art is crisp, professional, and doesn't often devolve into the "chibi" style that takes away from the overall atmosphere of the story.

Volume seven of the manga wraps up Book 3 (Saving the World and Other Extreme Sports) but also introduces the storyline of Book 4 (The Final Warning), which is the weakest in the series. If you found this installment rather lacking, I strongly suggest sticking it out until the Book 4 storyline finishes, which will likely be volume 8, and then it will continue into Book 5, where the storyline improves.
